Frequently Asked Questions

1. How much does it cost?
It depends. Some of our services can be taken ‘off the shelf’, but the way we implement them is unique to your business - tailored to meet your specific needs and objectives. We’re happy to give you an initial indication of our costs over the phone so please do give us a call.

2. Who pays for what?
The businesses we work with pay a fee for our consultancy services. They also release their people to participate on the programme and cover associated costs, such as travel. The expertise we offer to our partners does not command a fee, but we do look to them to support assignees - for example by providing accommodation - so that everyone buys in to the relationship and process.

3. Why don’t you work with individuals?
We’ve found that the greatest benefits are gained by supporting individuals through their employers. That’s how we build on peoples’ learning once they’re back in the workplace and unlock their true leadership potential. We are happy to suggest other companies who specialise in individual assignments.

4. Can we use our own partners?
Yes, absolutely. We’ve got some great examples of clients that have done just that, with fabulous results. Alternatively, we can use our own established network of partner organisations. Although they range in size, location and the nature of their operations, what they all share is a drive, enthusiasm and openness to improve.

5. Are your programmes for groups or individuals?
Either - whatever works best for your business. We’ve worked with clients who’ve sent groups of leaders to form action learning teams with partners and we also work with clients who stagger their programme, sending individuals out at different times to help with office cover etc. We are flexible to meet the needs of your business.

6. How long do assignees spend overseas?
We tailor experiences to meet the needs of you and your people, so it really does vary from a few days to three months, depending on the nature of your business and your employees’ availability. If you have a specific development goal in mind, we can advise you how long this might take. Similarly if you have strict timescales to work within, we can let you know what might be achievable in your timeframes. As a guide, many clients find that three-four weeks is a good starting point for an individual and one-week for a team.

7. Would you work with any country?
We’re proud of the network we’ve developed across India, Africa, South America and Eastern Europe and we’re keen to continue to build on this, working with new partners in new countries. We do consider the safety of assignees at all times so there are places that may not be appropriate. Give us a call if you have a location in mind.

8. Can we use our own coaches?
Yes of course, we understand that you may well have your own coaches who know your business inside out and we are happy to work with them to maximise the benefits we can unlock through the programme – after all two heads are better than one. Our own highly experienced coaches understand our programmes and have seen them applied to many different situations – with your knowledge and our expertise, we can create a solution that’s right for your people and your business.

9. How do you safeguard participants’ safety?
Your safety is our number one concern and we take our duty of care very seriously. We won’t work in dangerous locations, such as war zones, and we always work with in-house security personnel to minimise any risk associated with overseas travel. We’ve a tried and tested security protocol and in our eight years of operation, we’ve returned every single assignee back to their desks, fit and ready for work.

10. Who manages the logistics?
We’re more than happy to do this and have the processes in place to make it as stress free and seamless as possible. Equally, if you’ve got an in-house team or preferred suppliers who deal with your travel arrangements, we are happy to liaise with them to keep things straightforward.

11. How do we know your approach works or that the partners really benefit?
We pride ourselves on the fact that all the relationships we’ve built up with clients and clients have been long-term. That’s not because the work that we do makes them feel good, it’s because the benefits that our programmes bring can be measured and are clearly felt across their businesses and organisations. Results for clients, such as retention figures and promotion statistics speak for themselves, similarly feedback from partners shows that even a short, sharp injection of support – when clearly defined and managed – can unlock serious potential for growth.
