A Global Vision for Virtual City
For any business, gaining the right skills and knowledge necessary to expand operations isn’t always easy. So when Virtual City, a mobility software solutions provider based in Kenya, were invited to work with global technology giant Microsoft, they grabbed the opportunity with both hands.
Looking to expand the business within a global market, Virtual City was struggling with a number of technical issues that were hindering their progress.
As attendees at Microsoft’s innovative Front Lines programme, Virtual City were invited to share these issues with a team of Microsoft leaders and, through Action Learning, come up with a plan to address them.
“The event has inspired me to think big and given me a real global perspective on my business and what we can achieve,” says John Waibochi, CEO, Virtual City. “It was an excellent networking opportunity, bringing together diverse groups for maximum impact. By inviting people to produce solutions for themselves - rather than be given all the answers - the building blocks have been laid for real business transformation. The skills I gained through Front Lines have helped me immensely.”
