Challenge

MARS needed support to enhance their global Mars Ambassador Program (MAP) programme designed for employees to develop their skills and capabilities across the globe whilst building strong partnerships. In the program, employees select skills-based opportunities or assignments that provide a deep understanding of Mars’ sustainability approaches within their supply chain.

Solution

Emerging World worked alongside the Mars team to support teams of 4-7 individuals who spend a week in communities across the supply chain outside the US, as well as longer term 4-week individual assignments focusing on business aligned issues.

Impact

MARS tracks the impact of Ambassador Programme Assignments to ensure employees, line managers and partner organisations are maximising the engagement. 84% of employees strongly agree that their job satisfaction has improved as a result of participation.
