Igniting Integration

The Opportunity

BeOne Medicines brought together a global cohort of leaders who largely worked in isolation across regions and functions through the LIFT programme.

As the business scaled in a fast-moving environment, leaders needed stronger cross-regional relationships and a shared approach to managing growth. The company sought to create a programme that went beyond an isolated in-person engagement. Leaders needed to arrive prepared and leave with a clear plan to apply what they had learned.

The Journey

Emerging World designed two virtual modules within the wider LIFT leadership programme.

LIFT LaunchPad took place before the in-person gathering. Leaders began building relationships across regions, explored how culture and bias affect collaboration, and identified leadership behaviours they wanted to practise.

After the in-person programme, LIFT Integrator created space to reflect and apply learning. Leaders reviewed what had shifted in their thinking, discussed current challenges and designed practical experiments to test new behaviours in their roles. Reflection focused on application rather than review.

Together, LaunchPad and Integrator translated philosophy into design: prepare intentionally, experience deeply, integrate deliberately.

The Transformation

Leaders strengthened cross-regional relationships and developed greater awareness of how mindset and communication patterns affect collaboration. Participants left with clear commitments and peer accountability to sustain momentum.

Session feedback showed strong relevance to role and overall effectiveness:

  • Relevance to role: 4.3/5
  • Overall effectiveness: 4.2/5

More importantly, participants described greater clarity in how they wanted to lead and a stronger sense of connection to one another.

By framing both the beginning and the end of the journey, BeOne reinforced a simple truth: leadership transformation is not an event. It is a series of intentional experiences, reflected on and integrated over time.
