Unit4: Act4Good Anniversary Experience

Overview

In 2022, Unit4 launched the pilot of their Act4Good Anniversary Experience. The week-long volunteering programme gives employees the opportunity to work with local partners to support causes they care about.

Challenge

Unit4 wanted to provide their employees reaching a 5-year anniversary milestone in the company with a different type of reward–one that would provide them with an opportunity to leave their desks, connect more deeply to the company, its purpose and values while contributing to Unit4’s sustainability priorities.

Solution

Emerging World worked with Unit4 to design and implement the Act4Good Anniversary Experience programme, a week-long volunteering programme gives employees the opportunity to work with local partners to support causes they care about. Piloted in 2022, the programme enabled participants to support the work of environmental and social partners in Andorra, Portugal and the UK. In 2023, the programme will expand to support a larger number of partners.

Impact

The pilot programme proved to be a success; connecting participants more deeply with the company and its values. 91% of participants felt that the relationships they built through the programme would help them in their future work and 84% of participants are more likely to tell others about working at Unit4 after their experience. The tangible impact however is felt in the feedback from the participants themselves. Many commented that this experience was truly once-in-a-lifetime and expressed gratitude to Unit4 for providing them with such an enriching experience.
